Anyone tracking the tape on gaming stocks with this Kalshi SCOTUS news?

Saw the headline cross about lawmakers from heavy gaming states pushing SCOTUS to finally step into the Kalshi battle over sports betting and prediction market turf. If the Supreme Court actually decides to take this docket, the regulatory shakeup between state books and federal prediction contracts is going to get wild fast.

I'm mainly eyeing the charts on names like DKNG and the broader gaming basket to see how the order flow reacts. We’ve been knocking against a pretty stubborn supply zone on DKNG for the last couple of weeks, and volume has been thinning out near the highs. Ngl, headline risk like this usually triggers aggressive sell-side algos looking to sweep liquidity down to the next key daily support, but prediction market volumes haven't really flinched yet.

Are you guys adjusting your levels on the betting sector or fading this move until we actually see clear tape confirmation on cert approval?

Honestly, the base rate for SCOTUS actually granting cert is so low—usually under 5%—that pricing this in right now feels like a massive overreaction. I've backtested regulatory headline shocks in the gaming space before, and they almost always result in fast mean reversion. If algos sweep DKNG down to that $35-36 support zone, the risk-to-reward for a long play is highly asymmetric. I'm definitely not paying premium to chase this noise before we get actual tape confirmation.

Totally agree with waiting for actual cert before doing anything stupid. That sub-5% baseline is the real anchor here, and algos love using headlines like this to hunt stops right before a fast mean reversion back into the range.

That said, if DKNG actually flushes down toward that mid-30s support on fake panic, I'm definitely pulling up the daily chart to look for a bullish MACD crossover on the 4-hour before scaling in. Just gotta keep an eye on RSI to make sure we aren't catching a falling knife if the order flow turns heavy.

You guys are all way too obsessed with waiting for cert approval. By the time SCOTUS actually announces anything, the whole move will already be priced in and you'll be buying the exact top. I'm actually loading up on puts here because this market is completely ignoring the real long-term threat prediction platforms pose to traditional state-taxed sportsbooks. Everyone thinks it's just headline noise until the state lobbyists actually start getting traction.
