Everyone and their broker seems to be circulating these clean Elliott Wave counts on the SPX right now, swearing up and down that the recent intraday dip was just a textbook three-wave pullback ready to launch us into another face-ripping leg up. Ngl, seeing the herd get this unified behind squiggly wave lines at these stretched levels always makes my contrarian alarm bells ring. It feels like whenever folks want an excuse to FOMO into an overextended market, some analyst rolls out a wave count that conveniently labels every microscopic red candle as a completed corrective structure.

Let’s be real for a second, mate. Elliott Wave is legendary for looking flawless in hindsight, but trading it in real-time right here feels like pure copium to avoid taking profits. You can redraw those counts five different ways the second the floor drops out, and suddenly that "bullish sequence" magically transforms into a vicious impulse leg down that traps everyone who aggressively bought the dip. We’re pushing insane valuations, breadth isn't exactly screaming health, and treating a minor intraday pause like a guaranteed launchpad to fresh ATHs screams exit liquidity to me.

Are you guys genuinely confident longing this supposed wave pattern, or is anyone else bracing for a nasty bull trap?

Man, Elliott Wave is just astrology for people who like drawing pretty lines on their charts. You’re trying to count waves while the market is just hunting liquidity and vacuuming up stops above those equal highs. Forget the ABC corrections—look at the 4H time frame, we left a massive FVG untouched and the institutions are just rebalancing before the next leg up. Just trade the order flow and stop guessing where the "wave 5" ends.

Spot on, @ArthurByte. Elliott Wave is basically horoscopes for finance bros. You can literally count waves to fit whatever bias you woke up with that morning.

I'm just watching that 4H FVG too. If we sweep those stops above equal highs, risk-to-reward for a short gets decent, but fighting this melt-up blind is suicide without looking at the actual order flow. Give me volume and liquidity sweeps over wave counts any day of the week.
