Ngl watching the 10-year yield jump today gave me some serious flashbacks to last year's bond market carnage. Hot inflation print drops and suddenly everyone remembers the Fed isn't pivoting anywhere near as fast as Twitter bulls were hoping. Rate hike fears are back on the menu and growth stocks are taking it on the chin.
Back when yields started doing this trick in previous cycles, I got caught bagholding tech because I ignored the macro picture and just chased the dip. Learned that lesson with some painful losses. Now when bonds start flashing red like this, I immediately trim leverage and tighten stops across my entire book. If you are trying to catch falling knives in high-growth right now, good luck, but my capital is staying on the sidelines until the dust settles. Risk management is literally the only thing keeping us in the game during these macro tantrums.
How are you guys adjusting your risk today? Are you completely cashing out or just hedging the downside?
