Hey everyone, I’m still pretty new to tracking market news and trying to figure out what’s "noise" versus what’s actually important for my portfolio.
I just saw this headline about Vinson & Elkins hiring Loren Finegold and Ed Comber to expand their finance and infrastructure practice in New York. On the surface, it sounds like just a standard corporate update, but I’ve heard people mention that big moves in legal departments can sometimes hint at where the big money is heading next.
Is this something I should be paying attention to when looking at infrastructure stocks, or is this just standard firm growth that doesn’t really move the needle for retail traders? How do you guys filter through these types of press releases—do you track firm hires as a lead indicator, or am I overthinking this? Any advice for a beginner trying to learn how to interpret industry news would be huge!
