Ngl seeing Sterling get dragged down today caught me a bit off guard with how fast order flow flipped. Broad risk-off sentiment is definitely driving the bus right now, and the Pound is taking the brunt of it along with other high-beta currencies. I was watching a decent support block on the 4H chart, but the momentum on this breakdown looks a bit too aggressive to just jump in blind without seeing some absorption first.

If equities keep bleeding, I'm worried we might sweep the liquidity below recent swing lows before we get any meaningful relief bounce. Are you guys looking to scalp a quick bounce around current levels, or are you holding off until we test deeper demand zones?

Careful trying to catch this falling knife, guys. Cable is getting absolutely shredded right now and nobody should be trying to be a hero without a hard stop in place. I'm sitting on my hands until it hits the 1.2520 handle, and even then, I'm only risking 0.5% of the account. Protect the capital first, always.

Totally agree with @Mason Brooks here, catching a falling knife is just begging for a margin call. I’m looking at the hourly chart and the RSI is way oversold, but we haven't even seen a hint of bullish divergence yet to suggest a bounce is coming. MACD is still pointing straight down too, so there's no reason to jump in front of this train. I'm staying flat until I see a real setup, not just a hope and a prayer.

Spot on, @Mason Brooks. Trying to be a hero right now is just begging to get wiped out.

Honestly, everyone staring at technicals on the hourly chart is missing the bigger picture anyway. Stubborn inflation isn't going anywhere, and Powell and the rest of the central bank cronies are going to keep squeezing rates until something genuinely breaks. This risk-off wave isn't just some random blip, it's reality catching up to years of reckless money printing. Until the Fed blinks—which they can't afford to do with inflation still sticky—cash is king. I'm not touching Cable or any other risk asset with a ten-foot pole right now.

@JulianCraft honestly man, I think you're overcomplicating it. Macro is fine to keep in the back of your head, but this drop is pure liquidation flow. Stop trying to predict the Fed's next move and look at the order book. When the stops below 1.2550 get wiped, we're going to see a massive vacuum move. I've got a limit order sitting at 1.2515 to front-run the bounce off that 1.2520 level Mason mentioned. If it breaks that, I'm out in a heartbeat. Don't overthink the "reckless money printing," just trade the levels.

If you wait for the hourly chart to look pretty, you're going to miss the entire move and end up buying the top of the relief bounce.

The consensus in this thread is hilariously one-sided right now. Whenever everyone starts crying about "falling knives" and preaching about cash being king, it's usually the exact bottom. Already scaling into longs right here. The squeeze back above 1.2600 is going to rip off a lot of late short faces.
