Yo what is up everyone, wake up! I am sitting here with half-cold coffee staring at my phone on TradingView at 5:45 AM and the market structure across multiple assets is going completely bananas right now. If you aren't watching these breakouts and breakdowns on the higher timeframes, you are missing some absolute prime volatility.

First off, we HAVE to talk about Gold (XAUUSD). Did anyone else catch that insane Elliott Wave play that was circulating a bit ago? Back when price was hovering around the 4,125 zone, the higher timeframe chart was screaming corrective recovery. I know a lot of retail guys were FOMO buying the break of 4,100 thinking we were going straight to the moon, but man, the Elliott wave breakdown played out like a damn textbook. We litrally saw Gold roll over and crash all the way down toward the 3,980 region! That is over 1,460 points of pure downside movement captured if you managed to ride that wave 3 / wave C extension down.

I gotta be honest with you guys though, a quick personal confession/anecdote here... I actually got totally rekt on a micro scalping long near 4,110 right before the dam broke. I was testing a tight stoploss execution strategy on 5m order blocks on my phone app while waiting in line for food, completely ignored the 4h bearish divergence like an idiot, and got swiped out in seconds. Classic mistake of letting short-term greed blind you to macro market structure. Lesson learned for the hundredth time: ALWAYS respect the higher timeframe HTF trend over a cute 5-minute setup, or the market will take your lunch money every single time!

Anyway, look at XAUUSD right now around this 3,980 bounce zone. We are seeing some clear exhaustion on the sell-side volume, but I would not be blindly DCAing into longs just yet without a confirmed market structure shift (MSS) on the 1H chart. If 3,980 fails to hold as support, the liquidity vacuum below is deep and we could see another massive liquidations cascade. But if we get a solid bullish displacement candle above the 4,010 level, I am looking to scalp a retest back up to re-fill that fair value gap left behind near 4,060. My risk-to-reward ratio on that bounce play looks extremely juicy if we get the setup confirmation.

Meanwhile, look at FX! The forex market is spazing out after the Fed and ECB rate decisions dropped. DXY is taking a serious nose dive right now, which immediately flipped the switch on major pairs. EURUSD is ripping straight through overhead resitance, and GBPUSD is extending gains like crazy. Cable (GBP/USD) in particular looks like a prime breakout setup—it pushed clean past its multi-week consolidation box and is making higher highs on strong expansion candles.

I know some of you high-leverage traders love shorting green candles when price hits supply, but do NOT try to top-tick this momentum or you will get liquidated instantly. When the Fed dips the dollar and the ECB/BOE hold their ground, these trends can run way longer than your margin can handle. The play here on EUR and GBP isn't chasing the breakout candle at the absolute top (that is how you get trapped by market makers), it is waiting patiently for the pullback to the broken resistance level to flip it into new support on the 0.618 fib retrace.

Oh, and quick shoutout to the exotics traders out there—did you guys see UBS raising their Zloty (PLN) forecast even with the currency facing all that mounting pressure lately? Weird macro dynamics overlapping with technicals there, but from a purely chart-based standpoint, PLN pairs are setting up some nasty fakeouts near key pivot points that could trap late breakout traders.

Bottom line for my trade plan today: I am setting price alerts at Gold 3,980 and 4,010, watching EURUSD for a clean retest of the breakout zone, and keeping my risk strictly capped at 1% per trade. Leverage is a weapon, so don't blow your account chasing green candles on 50x like a degenerate.

What are you guys watching on your charts today? Anyone catch that Gold drop or currently sitting in GBP longs?
