Everyone is popping champagne over Atlassian’s latest run, acting like they’ve somehow "shook off" the SaaS-pocalypse and emerged as the golden child of AI. I’m seeing people throw around "innovation" and "resilience" like they’re going out of style, but I feel like we’re ignoring the elephant in the room.
We’re looking at a company that is still struggling with massive migration costs and a product suite that is becoming increasingly bloated. Just because the stock price ticked up doesn't mean the core business model is suddenly immune to the tightening enterprise budgets we’re seeing across the entire sector. It feels like the market is desperate to find an AI winner and is just clinging to TEAM because of their name recognition, rather than actual fundamental shifts in their moat.
Are we really buying the hype that their AI tools are going to move the needle on revenue enough to justify these multiples, or are we just watching a bunch of bag holders convincing themselves that the "SaaSpocalypse" was a myth? I’m genuinely curious—who here is actually confident in their long-term growth, or are we all just riding the momentum until the next earnings report pulls the rug out?
