Seeing everyone celebrate this tiny rupee pump like the RBI just solved global macro overnight is wild. People are rushing into the chats talking about a massive reversal and calling the bottom, but honestly this feels like peak cope to me.

Central bank intervention literally never reverses a multi-year macro trend. The RBI is just burning through foreign exchange reserves to put lipstick on a pig and smooth out volatility, but they can't fight the broader tape forever. With US yields staying sticky and energy import costs squeezing local balance sheets, artificial support measures are just a temporary band-aid.

Ngl, this bounce just feels like a gift for dollar bulls looking to reload their longs at a discount before USDINR inevitably marches toward a new ATH. Fading central bank defense usually prints if you have the patience to hold through the chop.

Anyone else fading this move and waiting to reload on the greenback, or are you actually trusting the RBI to hold the line here?
