Been staring at the charts since 4 AM today and honestly, the amount of noise in the mkt right now is absolutely deafening. I feel like every time I open a tab, there’s some new "crisis" or "moon mission" headline that just doesn't sit right with me. As someone who’s been around the block a few times and survived enough liquidations to lose count, my gut is telling me to just sit on my hands, but the FOMO in the discord chats is getting out of control.
Take a look at silver, for example. I was reading through some wave analysis this morning and it’s looking pretty grim for the bulls. Silver finally broke that key support level at 55.00. That level was supposed to be the floor, man. It stopped wave (1) back in July, held up wave B in August, and even caught wave 3 in the middle of October. But now? Gone. The analysts are saying it’s likely to tumble straight down to the 50.00 support level. I remember trying to scalp silver back in the day—it was during a similar breakdown and I thought I could front-run a "fakeout" bounce. I didn't set my stoploss high enough and got absolutely rekt when the floor fell out. Seeing it happen again just makes me think all these "technical setups" are just traps for people who dont want to wait for real confirmation.
And then you have the Treasuries. Did u guys see the October wrap-up? U.S. Treasuries just had their biggest rally since 2024. Everyone is acting like this is some massive victory for the economy or a sign that things are stabilizing, but to a long-term skeptic like me, it feels more like a flight to safety because people are terrified of what's coming next. When bonds surge that hard to end a month, it usually means the big institutional money is rotating out of riskier assets. They aren't buying because they're bullish; they're buying because they're scared.
Speaking of risk, the crypto space is having another one of its classic meltdowns. Bitcoin and the rest of the coins are sliding because of some security issue report over at Binance. It's the same old story, right? One bit of bad news from a major exchange and everyone forgets about the long-term thesis and starts dumping like the world is ending. I was looking at my own setups this morning on my secondary monitor—just a simple 4-hour chart of BTC—and you can see the panic selling in the volume candles. It’s pure emotion. I’ve been DCAing into a few positions for months, but seeing how fragile the sentiment is right now makes me wonder if we’ve even seen the real bottom yet.
I’ve had this rule for a while: if the macro news is this loud, the smart move is usually to do nothing. I was testin a new indicator setup on a demo account yesterday, just some basic mean reversion stuff, and even in a simulated environment, the volatility from these "security issues" and Treasury swings would have blown a normal account to pieces. If you're trying to scalp this volatility without a death wish, you’ve got more guts than me. The "wave (1)" and "wave B" stuff with silver just proves that the market has a memory, and right now, it remembers how to fall.
I’m curious if anyone else is actually buying this Treasury pump or if you're all just waiting for the other shoe to drop with crypto. It feels like every time we get a "biggest rally since whenever" headline, it’s just the setup for a massive rug pull. My plan is to just stick to my DCA schedule and ignore the 15-minute candles, but it’s hard not to watch when everything is flashing red and green like a broken Christmas tree.
Does anyone realy think 50.00 is going to hold for silver if the dollar keeps its strength, or are we looking at a much deeper correction across the board?
