Seeing the news today about a US senator demanding records from Paolo Ardoino over some deal with an ex-Trump adviser ngl gave me instant flashbacks to 2018. It feels like every time we get some decent market momentum, the Tether regulatory probe headlines come back to haunt us.

Having traded through multiple cycles and survived a few ugly de-peg scares over the years, my biggest takeaway is to never trust a single stablecoin with all your dry powder. Back in the day, I kept almost everything in USDT because it had the most liquidity for quick scalps. But after getting caught in a mini panic dump a few years back where USDT dipped to around 0.95, I learned my lesson the hard way. These days, I split my sideline cash across USDT, USDC, and a bit of fiat or DAI just to sleep better at night.

The real trick with headlines like this is avoiding knee-jerk panic while keeping your risk tight. Political probes move at a snail's pace, so this isn't an instant death blow to the market, but it does inject unneeded uncertainty. If you are sitting on massive USDT bags for yield or waiting to buy the dip, it might be worth taking five minutes to rebalance your holdings so you aren't caught flat-footed if the FUD escalates.

Are you guys taking this probe seriously and rotating out of USDT, or are you just tuning out the noise like usual?
