Ok guys I am literally staring at the 4H charts right now and USD/JPY is looking absolutely absurd. If you are not watching the yen pairs right now you are missing out on one of the cleanest technical setups we have seen all month!! Seriously, we just popped right through that nasty bearish trend line resistance around 157.85 on the 4-hour chart and the momentum building up toward 159.00 is insane.

I actually took a quick 15m scalping trade on this bad boy earlier this morning when the 157.85 level flipped from resistance to supprot. I was sitting there with my morning coffee, saw the candle close above the 4H trendline with decent volume, and smashed the buy button. Bagged about 35 pips real fast before locking in profit, but now i'm looking at the big picture daily frame and thinking this is just the appetizer before the main course. Last time I tried to counter-trend short Ninja last year I got absolutely rekt because I didn't respect the trendline breakout, so learned my lesson there the hard way—never fight a runaway trend when real rates are stacked against it!

Speaking of real rates, the macro background here is aligning so ridiculously well with the technicals. UBS just put out a note highlighting how Japan's real interest rates are still sitting in deep negative territory. That means despite all the hawkish talk and intervention fears, holding JPY is basically losing you purchasing power every single day. Big institutional capital knows this, so every single dip on USD/JPY gets eaten up so fast. It's classic buy-the-dip behavior. When TA and macro fundamentals align like this, breakuots tend to be explosive instead of fakeouts.

If we get a clean 4H candle close above 159.00, I am fully expecting a violent squeeze straight into 160.00 and maybe even higher. The liquidity sitting above 159.00 is huge. You know there are massive stop losses from shorts stacked up right above that double top area. Once those get hit, it’s going to trigger a cascade of market buys. Classic liquidity sweep setup. I'm already building a swing position, doing a little bit of DCA on the minor pullbacks toward 158.20 just in case we get a quick retest before the big send. cant let fomo get the best of us though, so positioning size needs to be sensible.

At the same time, you gotta keep an eye on the rest of the macro board because cross-market correlations are getting weird right now. Look at Gold—it's proably going to struggle hard to extend gains above that massive $4,120 resistance zone. I know some of you guys are heavy in metals, but if gold breaks lower here, capital is going to shift around fast. Analysts are saying investors will be hunting for alternative safe haven currencies if gold loses its footing. But honestly, with Japan's real rates staying negative, is JPY even going to catch those safe haven flows, or is it all gonna flow straight into the Greenback and CHF? My bet is USD absorbs most of it, which only adds fuel to the USD/JYP rocket.

Also just a quick side note on risk assets in general—we need to stay cautious across the board. Even Bitcoin is looking a bit shaky near key levels, and if we see a weekly close below $79,200, crypto could suffer a sharp drop which might spike short-term volatility across FX markets too. So don't go full leverage degen mode without a tight SL. Manage your risk, fam. I’ve seen way too many traders get rekt trying to chase fomo candles at major resistance without waiting for confirmation.

For my execution plan: I've set my price alert at 158.90. If we flush down below 157.50, my bull thesis gets invalidated and I'll gladly take a small loss. But if 159.00 snaps? We are going to moon.

Are you guys buying this retest of the trendline break or waiting for the clean 159.00 breakout trigger? Anyone shorting JPY across other crosses like EUR/JPY too?
