Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to trading and mostly trying to figure out how all these markets move. I saw the news today that Comex Gold dropped 1.4% and silver took an even bigger hit down 2.5%.

I always thought gold and silver were supposed to be safe havens when things get shaky, so seeing them go down multiple sessions in a row has me really confused. Is this normal market noise, or is something major happening that I'm missing?

For the experienced traders out there: how does a drop like this usually impact your strategy? Are you buying the dip, staying away, or looking at other assets entirely? Would love any advice or simple explanations for a newbie!

Bro, don't sweat it. That drop is just institutions sweeping liquidity below a massive Daily Order Block before the real markup starts.

Look at the 4H chart, there's a huge FVG sitting right underneath that previous structure. They're just hunting stops of all the retail longs who aped in too early.

I'm definitely not selling, just waiting for price to tap that mitigation block and fill the imbalance. Once it grabs that sell-side liquidity, we're flying back up. Stay patient.

Check the economic calendar, man. NFP just dropped way hotter than expected and yields spiked instantly. Gold and silver get crushed whenever real yields go up because they don't pay any interest. It's really that simple, forget all the order block mumbo jumbo.

Honestly, stop overcomplicating it with all the news talk and fancy jargon. If you pull up the daily chart and zoom out, you'll see we just hit a major horizontal resistance level that’s been holding firm for a while. Price doesn't move in a straight line, it needs to breathe. I'm just watching for a clean retest of the previous support level to see if any buyers step back in with a decent rejection candle. Resistance is resistance, regardless of what the NFP says.
