Man, I am sitting here staring at my terminal this morning and my stomach is honestly in knots. Anyone else feeling completely exhausted by this price action? I tried taking a quick 15-minute scalp on ETH right around the London open, and it literally felt like playing Russian roulette with a blindfold on. Spread blew out out of nowhere, wick hunted my tight stoploss in half a second, and boom—down another few hundred bucks before I even finished my coffee. Lesson learned the hard way again, I guess. That is what I get for trying to force trades when the macro environment is an absolute circus.
Speaking of this circus, I saw that news drop about Kalshi partnering up with S&P Dow Jones Indices to push out all these new financial event contracts. Wall Street is literally gamifying everything now, turning the entire S&P into a giant prediction market for retail to throw money at. Like, seriously? As if we didn't already have enough volatility with traditional equities, now every single economic data release is gonna be hyper-speculated on by degens on yet another platform. It just adds so much erratic noise to the order books. When prediction markets and traditional indices start bleeding into each other like this, normal short-term scalping basically becomes a coin toss. The algos are just hunting liquidity left and right, trapping breakout traders and squeezing longs and shorts simultaneously.
Then you have guys like Jordi Visser coming out saying crypto is somehow gonna outperform AI stocks because AI agents are gonna start driving up real crypto demand. Look, I love digital assets as much as the next guy, and my bags are decently heavy, but hearing Wall Street vets talk up altcoins while macro risks are flashing red makes me want to run the other direction. Brazil's real just took a brutal 12 percent hit overnight after Lula's reelection win, and global FX markets are acting super jittery. Capital is scrambling for safety, yet people are out here trying to YOLO into mid-cap alts because some former Morgan Stanley exec thinks AI bots are gonna use Solana. It smells like pure FOMO trap to me.
For real, my risk exposure right now is practically zero compared to last month. I am done trying to catch falling knives or chase these wild green candles that reverse the second you click buy. If you are still trading full size in this mess, you are way braver than I am. How are you guys even surviving this chop without getting completely rekt?
