So everyone is getting all hyped up because the Zcash team finally pushed the NU7 upgrade to testnet. Honestly, seeing the excitement around 25-second blocks just makes me cringe. People are acting like this is the catalyst that’s going to send ZEC to the moon, but are we really going to ignore the elephant in the room? Changing the block time doesn't fix the fact that privacy coins are getting absolutely hammered by regulators and delisted from every major exchange worth mentioning.
Ngl, I feel like this is just a desperate attempt to stay relevant while the rest of the market moves on to actual utility. Does faster transaction confirmation really matter if you can barely spend or swap the coin without jumping through ten hoops? I’m seeing way too much hopium in the threads lately from people convinced that a protocol tweak is going to magically bring back the glory days. Seems like people are just looking for an excuse to fomo back into a dead trade before the November mainnet dump. Why are we still pretending that minor tech updates can save a project that’s fundamentally fighting a losing battle against global regulation?
