ZEC NU7 Upgrade: How are we playing the 25-second block time transition on order books?

Hey everyone, just seeing the news drop about the upcoming NU7 mainnet upgrade targeting November, with testnet rolling out October 6.

Cutting block times down to 25 seconds is a massive structural change for Zcash. From a purely mechanical standpoint, this is going to drastically increase the velocity of emissions and change how order flow hits the books, especially for market makers adjusting spreads.

I'm trying to figure out how to position for this on the charts leading up to October/November. Does anyone see this speeding up distribution and putting pressure on local support, or are the bulls going to use the halving schedule preservation as a narrative to test major resistance overhead?

How are you guys adjusting your short-term trend bias and key levels for ZEC with this block time halving coming up? Drop your charts or thoughts below.
 
Honestly, I wouldn't overcomplicate this trying to trade the exact moment the block times change. The market usually prices these network upgrades in slowly through the chop, and trying to scalp the order book shifts around the testnet date sounds like a great way to get chopped to pieces. I'm just sitting on my hands and waiting to see how the daily structure reacts once the dust settles. Wake me up when it actually tests a real macro level on the 4H.
 
Forget waiting for the dust to settle, the 4H is already screaming bullish displacement. There's a massive unmitigated order block sitting right under local support that I'm eyeing for an aggressive entry. If we sweep the sell-side liquidity before the testnet goes live, I'm longing the hell out of that FVG because the buy-side targets are looking way too juicy. This block time change is just the volatility injection we need to finally pump this.
 
the "velocity of emissions" shouldn't actually change the daily supply if the math is correct on the per-block reward adjustment, so it's mostly a microstructure play for the bots. my main concern is the risk-to-reward on those local support levels if liquidity thins out while MMs recalibrate their parameters for the faster blocks. i'm leaning toward a neutral stance until we see if the slippage on the 25s intervals stays within a reasonable standard deviation. backtesting similar upgrades on other chains usually shows that the "volatility injection" is just a bunch of fakeouts anyway.
