Cable chop is driving me nuts, anyone else scaling back?

Morning everyone. Sitting here staring at my 15-minute charts with my third cup of coffee and honestly I am just getting completely sick of how choppy these price actions have been lately. I mean, my screen looks like a messy spiderweb right now. Every time I think I have a clean scalp locked in, some random macro headline drops or algorithmic sweep comes out of nowhere and completely wrecks the position. I tried testing a quick momentum breakout setup on Cable yesterday afternoon, and literally within three minutes of fill, it violently whipsawed back into the range and sliced right through my tight mental stop. Super frustrating stuff. Made me step back and really re-evaluate my risk exposure because holding anything overnight or even through the New York close right now feels like playing Russian roulette with a blindfold on.

Speaking of GBP, I was reading some of the latest chatter this morning about UBS calling for more sterling gains because of all the crowded short positioning. Makes sense on paper, but if you look at the Elliott Wave perspective, a lot of analysts are pointing out that this recent bounce on GBPUSD might just be a classic three-wave zigzag corrective rally before the bigger downtrend resumes. That kind of mixed signals drives scalpers crazy. You get caught trying to fade the bounce, get squeezed by short covering, and then just as you flip bias, the macro reality slams the door back down. It is pure chop city. I am not trying to get caught holding a heavy bag while the big institutions play ping-pong with liquidity.

And honestly, the macro uncertainty is bleeding into everything else we touch. Even outside of forex, security paranoia is through the roof right now. Saw that weird alert from Trezor warning folks who bought hardware wallets from CryptoBilis to immediately move their funds because of a suspected physical implant. Like, seriously? As if we do not already have enough anxiety stressing over market volatility, stop-hunting algorithms, and sudden flash crashes, now we have to worry about whether our cold storage got compromised in the supply chain too. It is just endless noise.

Anyway, my point is that risk management has to be dialed up to eleven right now. I have completely cut down my position sizing by half this week and I am refusing to take trades unless the risk-reward ratio is at least three to one. If a setup looks even slightly muddy, I am just flat-out sitting on my hands and watching. DCAing into this kind of madness sounds like a fast track to getting rekt. Are you guys actually finding clean trends to scalp today, or are you sitting out like me?
