Morning everyone. Just watching the screens this morning and noticed the dollar ticking up slightly while the rest of the majors are basically sleepwalking. Not surprised at all given the massive wall of central bank decisions we have heading our way this week. Honestly, markets are acting like they are holding their breath before a big dive, and trading ranges right now are absolute trap territory. Back in my earlier days, I used to get major FOMO during these pre-announcement lulls and try to scalp every little fakeout, which usually ended up with my stop losses getting hunted within minutes. Learned that lesson the hard way after blowing a chunk of my account trying to outsmart a quiet market before a Fed speech. Ngl, nowadays I just step on the hands, widen those stops if I am holding a swing position, or better yet, just sit on my hands and wait for the actual liquidity to hit once the news drops. It is way better to miss the first initial panic candle than to be the exit liquidity for some institutionalalgo. How are you guys playing this central bank deluge, sitting it all out or hunting for quick range trades?
