Hey guys, I just saw some news about DoubleZero launching a dedicated fiber market data feed for Hyperliquid to give professional trading firms lightning-fast access to the full order book. Ngl, I am still pretty green when it comes to DEX trading and mostly just try to scalp small moves when the volatility kicks in, so this sounds super intimidating to me.
If these massive institutional players are getting ultra-fast fiber connections directly to the order book, are we just food for the bots now? I've been loving Hyperliquid lately because it actually felt like a fair playground, but now I’m getting some major anxiety that my manual trades are going to get frontrun or filled at terrible prices. I don't want to panic sell or stop trading, but I really don't want to get rekt by high-frequency firms either.
Can any of the veteran traders here explain how this actually impacts us regular retail folks? Like, does this only matter for elite algo bots, or is it going to make holding and scalping way harder for the rest of us?
