New to tech stocks: Is this DeepSeek selloff on Nvidia and Broadcom actually overblown?

Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to trading and could really use some perspective from the veterans here.

I recently started buying shares in companies like Nvidia and Broadcom because of the whole AI boom, but the recent market reaction to DeepSeek completely spooked me. I watched my portfolio dip and wasn't sure if I should cut my losses or hold on.

Today I read an article arguing that DeepSeek won't actually sink US AI giants and that the panic selling we saw is way overblown. As a beginner, I’m trying to wrap my head around this: how does a cheaper AI model really impact hardware/chip makers in the long run? Is this just typical market overreaction, or has the fundamental thesis for US tech actually changed?

For those of you who have traded through these kinds of tech panic cycles before, are you treating this as a discounted buying opportunity, or is it safer to stay on the sidelines right now? Any advice or explanations would be super appreciated!

Totally overblown panic imo. Market just loves an excuse to shake out weak hands and reprice everything on headlines.

I'd keep a close eye on the daily RSI for NVDA—looks like it's creeping back up out of oversold territory, and if we get a bullish MACD crossover on the daily chart soon, this whole DeepSeek drama is gonna look like a massive buy-the-dip gift. Just don't YOLO everything at once.

Man, ignore the noise. The retail panic is just a liquidity grab. If you look at the H4, we're sweeping those sell-side lows and tapping right into a clean Order Block. That's where the smart money is actually sitting, not in some random headline about DeepSeek.

The market makers love scaring the rookies out of their positions just to fill their own orders at a discount. Look for the FVG to get reclaimed and then we’re probably off to the races again. Don’t overcomplicate it with MACD or whatever, just watch where the big money is trapped and follow the footprints. I'm stacking more NVDA here, no doubt about it.

bro retail always panics over headlines while whales scoop the blood. total overreaction. sending my remaining fiat into nvda calls right now, either we moon or get completely rekt. no in between.

Stop looking at indicators and start looking at the chart. NVDA is sitting right on a major daily demand zone that held firm twice last year. As long as we don't get a weekly close below that swing low, all this talk about DeepSeek is just noise. Price doesn't care about headlines, it only cares about where the buyers and sellers are actually stepping in. Just watch the reaction at these levels. If we see a rejection candle on the daily, that's your entry. Keep it simple.
