Alright everyone, take a deep breath. The mainstream media is losing its collective mind today over DeepSeek, and half the threads on this forum look like pure panic selling. Nvidia down 16%? Infrastructure stocks getting slaughtered? Everyone is running around screaming that the AI monopoly is broken and the moat has dried up.
Are we seriously doing this again?
Let's look at the actual reality here instead of chasing the sensationalist headlines. A Chinese startup releases a model that's supposedly cheaper to train, and suddenly Wall Street prices in the complete obsolescence of global data centers, advanced GPUs, and enterprise AI spending? That is a massive overreaction.
If anything, cheaper and more efficient inference is "fuel" for mass adoption, not the death knell for hardware. Software getting smarter doesn't mean we need "less" compute long-term; it means more industries can actually afford to plug into the ecosystem. The market is pricing in a permanent freeze in capex based on a single news cycle, and smart money knows better.
Or am I totally missing something here? Are you guys trimming your positions and locking in losses, or are you aggressively loading up on the dip while everyone else panics? Let's hear your actual theses.
