Ngl guys, I’m seeing everyone and their mother FOMO into the USD right now just because it’s hitting an 18-month high. It’s the same old story with oil prices climbing and the Euro looking like trash, but am I the only one who thinks this move is completely overextended? Everyone is talking like the dollar is the only safe haven left, but when the retail crowd starts chanting King Dollar at these levels, that’s usually when the big players start unloading their bags on us.
The euro weakness is already priced in at this point, and this oil rally feels like it’s running on fumes. If we see even a slight shift in the narrative or a cooling of the energy spike, the DXY is going to pull back so fast it'll leave everyone’s scalps in the red. We’re sitting near multi-year highs and everyone is acting like it’s going to go to the moon forever. I’m looking at the charts and seeing a massive exhaustion signal. Buying here feels like chasing the top of a cycle while the smart money is already looking for the exit.
Are we really buying into the hype, or is this just the ultimate liquidity grab before a massive correction?
