Unpopular opinion Today’s bullish news cycle is a massive liquidity trap

Wake up, guys. I’m looking at the daily news roundups today, with everyone screaming about the latest Bitcoin price action, DeFi upgrades, and regulatory "progress," and honestly, I’m just not buying it. It feels like the classic FOMO trap designed to get retail traders to provide exit liquidity for the whales. We see these hyped-up daily summaries pushing the narrative that Web3 is saved and a breakout is imminent, but when you actually look at the order books and the macro environment, the volume is bone dry.

Everyone is so desperate for the next ATH that we are treating every minor tweet from a regulator or some mid-tier DeFi protocol update as some monumental bullish shift. Ngl, it’s getting exhausting to watch. We scalp these tiny pumps, pretend the structural issues in the market don't exist, and totally ignore that liquidity is still incredibly choked. The mainstream media wants us to believe the bull run is safely back on track today, but to me, this looks like a textbook distribution phase before another nasty flush down.

I get that we all want to hold our bags and watch them pump to the moon, but ignoring the warning signs just to stay optimistic seems like a recipe for getting absolutely wrecked. Are we really going to pretend these daily micro-trends are fundamentally changing anything when the bigger picture is still so incredibly shaky?

Who else is sitting on their hands in cash right now waiting for the real drop, or are you mates actually buying into this daily noise?
