Wait, Trade Republic made how much?! Is PFOF actually dying?

Hey everyone, I was just reading about Trade Republic posting a massive sevenfold jump in profit up to over 230 million euros, and honestly, my brain is a bit scrambled trying to figure out what it all means. Ngl, commission income more than doubled mostly because of higher trading volumes, which is wild. But here is where I get totally lost: this is apparently the last full year before the German payment for order flow exemption expired. Everyone has been screaming that the free trade era for EU neobrokers is dead because of this ban, yet Trade Republic management is still sitting there expecting even more commission growth next year. How does that even work if they lose those routing payments? Are the new €1 and €2 execution fees going to completely make up for it, or are we about to see their margins get totally crushed? Would love to hear from some of the experienced traders here who actually understand how these broker revenue models operate. Is this stock/broker still worth using, or should I be looking elsewhere?
