DeepSeek panic on NVDA and AVGO is just history repeating itself

Saw everyone losing their minds over DeepSeek taking down US AI titans like Nvidia and Broadcom. Ngl, watching the timeline melt down gave me serious flashbacks to past tech scares. Every time a new competitor or efficiency narrative pops up, retail panics, dumps their bags at the bottom, and then watches smart money quietly scoop up the discount while everyone else is hiding under their desks.

I learned this lesson the hard way years ago trying to trade headlines without a plan. The biggest takeaway from surviving a few market cycles is learning to differentiate between a broken thesis and pure market noise. DeepSeek's efficiency gains are definitely cool tech-wise, but it doesn't instantly erase the massive hardware and software moats companies like NVDA have spent years building.

When these panic dips hit, my personal risk management rule is to never rush in all at once just out of FOMO. I wait for the initial margin calls to clear out, scale in slowly with smaller position sizes, and set strict stops just below key weekly support. Protecting your capital always comes first—never risk your main stash trying to hero-buy the exact bottom of a falling knife.

This whole selloff felt way overblown to me and offered a classic re-entry setup once the noise died down. Did any of you guys scoop up the dip on NVDA or AVGO, or are you holding off until the tech sector settles down?

Man, people panic so fast every time some new headline drops. If you actually look at the daily on NVDA, the RSI was getting a bit stretched anyway, but this drop is just classic shakeout material. MACD is screaming a crossover on the lower timeframe if you're day trading it, but structurally the trend hasn't broken yet. Just noise to clear out the weak hands before the next leg up.
