I’ve been scrolling through the threads all morning and it seems like half the forum is convinced the USD is heading to the moon just because of this latest Fed rate outlook. Everyone is piling into long positions like it’s a one-way ticket to gains, but are we seriously ignoring how stretched this move is getting? We’ve seen four weeks of gains and the mainstream media is already screaming about how the greenback is the only place to be. Ngl, whenever the narrative gets this lopsided, I start getting nervous.
It feels like a massive trap for the retail crowd chasing the FOMO. Everyone is pricing in this "higher for longer" narrative, but what happens if the data prints even a tiny bit soft? We’re at a point where the expectations are so baked in that any hint of a cooling economy is going to send the dollar off a cliff. I’m not saying we’re crashing tomorrow, but the risk-to-reward ratio here looks absolutely terrible for anyone trying to scalp an entry at these levels. Are you guys actually buying into this breakout, or are you waiting for the inevitable rug pull?
