Honestly, watching the sentiment shift today is exactly why half of retail traders get absolutely rinsed. You see the headlines screaming about the Pound slipping because the euro is tanking and the dollar is acting like the golden child again, and suddenly everyone is acting like the sky is falling on Cable. It’s the same old story—everyone jumps on the "short GBP" bandwagon because it’s the easy move to justify when the indices look shaky.
I’m looking at the chart and feeling like we are getting played here. Everyone is so caught up in the macro noise and the latest headline that they’re completely missing the fact that this dip is looking more like a liquidity grab than a genuine reversal. People are screaming about a massive breakdown, but I’m seeing a whole lot of fear-driven exhaustion. We’ve seen this consolidation phase before and every single time the majority of the room calls for a crash, we end up ripping straight through their stop losses. Call me crazy, but I think the bears are getting way too comfortable thinking this is a one-way ticket down. Are you guys actually loading up on shorts here, or are you just waiting for the inevitable bounce to long it?
