Looking at today's roundup of headlines, it really takes me back to my early days trading this market. I used to wake up, jump straight on the news feeds, and panic-trade every single Bitcoin swing or regulatory rumor. I would FOMO into whatever DeFi or Web3 token made the daily news, only to watch my position get completely nuked by afternoon trading. Ngl, it took losing a solid chunk of my portfolio to realize that 90% of daily crypto news is just noise engineered to liquidate over-leveraged retail traders.
If you're out here trying to scalp these daily moves or manage swing positions, my biggest piece of advice is to dial back your risk before touching a single chart. Whenever a bunch of high-impact headlines hit at once, I automatically cut my normal position size in half. Volatility cuts both ways, and market makers love hunting liquidity on heavy news days. Let the initial knee-jerk reaction fade, wait for the daily or 4-hour candle close, and never buy into a green spike just because the headline sounds overly bullish.
These days, I only use daily market updates to gauge overall market sentiment rather than taking direct trade entries off them. Patience and strict position sizing have saved my account more times than any quick scalp ever could. Are you guys actively trading today's market moves, or are you holding off until things settle down?
