Tech jitters dragging down the Euro while the Yen pumps gives me wild flashbacks

Ngl seeing these AI and tech stock jitters spill directly over into the forex market feels like a movie I have seen a hundred times. Everyone gets insanely hyped on equity rallies, and the moment a tiny bit of fear creeps into the tech sector, money sprints right back into classic safe havens like the Yen while currencies like the Euro take a beatdown. If you are holding longs on Euro pairs or trading risk assets right now, I know that sudden shift in sentiment can catch you off guard.

I learned the hard way a few years back that when equity panic bleeds into FX, normal technical levels tend to get completely blown through. I used to try and scalp the bounce on currencies getting slammed during tech pullbacks, thinking the sell-off was overdone. Spoiler alert, I got my account shredded because risk-off momentum travels way faster than retail traders expect.

These days, my biggest risk management rule for market conditions like this is simple: cut your lot size in half and respect the correlations. Trying to catch a falling knife on EUR/USD or shorting USD/JPY into a panic wave is just begging for pain. Let the initial volatility wash out first instead of giving in to FOMO. Surviving the sudden shifts is how you stay in this game long term.

Are you guys riding the Yen momentum right now, or are you sitting on your hands until the tech market cools down?

Man, tell me about it. Seeing the Yen catch a bid like this while EUR is just bleeding out against the dollar really does feel like 2020 all over again. I’m just ignoring the noise and watching that 1.0800 level on the EUR/USD; if that daily candle closes below it, we might be in for a long slide. Keeping it simple, no indicators, just pure price action. Stay cautious out there, these moves are getting choppy.
