Hey everyone, still pretty new to the trading game and trying to learn how to read the markets better. I just saw this news about the PHP Foundation admitting they had a major structural failure that delayed a critical security fix, and apparently, it already caused some disruptions for government websites.
Ngl, I’m kind of panicking a little because I’ve got some money tied up in a few tech stocks and I have no idea if this is a "buy the dip" situation or if I should be worried about a bigger sell-off. Does a security flaw like this usually cause a massive drop in the indices, or is it just noise that the market will ignore after a day or two? I’m still figuring out how to balance my portfolio and I really don't want to get caught holding the bag if this turns into a systemic issue for web infrastructure. Any advice from the veterans here on how to interpret news like this?
