Totally confused about USDJPY, is Citi right that it will stay range bound?

Hey guys, total beginner here trying to make sense of the forex market. I was reading through some news today and saw that Citi expects USD/JPY to stay range-bound with the BoJ rate decision coming up. Ngl, I’m pretty lost on what this actually means for a guy who just started trading a few weeks ago.

Does this mean we shouldn't expect any big breakout moves anytime soon? I was lowkey preparing to ride a big trend, but now I'm terrified of getting chopped up if price just bounces back and forth in a tight channel. How do you experienced traders handle calls like this? Are you guys just scalping the top and bottom levels, or is it way smarter to sit on your hands until the BoJ news drops?

I really don't want to get wrecked by FOMO or lose my tiny account trying to play a choppy market. How are you playing USDJPY right now?
