UBS is doubling down on the dollar dip and it makes sense

I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter about UBS sticking to their buy-the-dip call on the USD, and honestly, it brings me back to some painful lessons I learned early on in my career. We’ve all seen the sentiment shift when the pair starts sliding, and the natural reaction is to get nervous and dump your position to stop the bleeding. But looking at the macro backdrop, the big institutions are clearly playing a different game. Back when I first started, I used to panic-sell every time a support level looked shaky, only to watch the market rip higher ten minutes later without me. It was absolute agony watching those gains evaporate because I was too scared of the noise.

The reality is that catching a falling knife is dangerous if you aren't sizing your positions correctly. If you're going to follow this dollar narrative, you have to keep your leverage in check. When I trade these pullbacks now, I only enter with a fraction of what I’m willing to risk, and I keep my stop-loss wide enough to avoid getting stopped out by a simple wick. It’s not about predicting the exact bottom, but about trusting your thesis while leaving enough room for the market to breathe. Don't let the FOMO or the panic candle drive your trades; if your conviction in the USD strength is still there, let the volatility do the work for you rather than letting it scare you into a bad exit.

Are you guys actually loading up on these dips or are you waiting for more confirmation before jumping back in?

UBS is always late to the party lol. By the time the big banks "double down" on a trend, retail gets wiped out right before the pivot. NFP is going to wreck this trade anyway.
