US bond yields finally chilling while France gets squeezed, classic macro mess

Saw US yields finally pause their brutal sell-off today, but over in Europe, the drama is just getting started with finance ministers putting the screws on Paris over their deficit. Ngl, this whole setup gives me serious flashbacks to previous European fiscal standoffs. Whenever Brussels starts calling out France or Italy, EUR pairs get super twitchy, regardless of what the Fed is up to.

I learned the hard way a few years back trying to catch a falling knife on EUR/USD during a similar budget row. Got completely steamrolled because I was only looking at tech charts and totally ignored the widening yield spreads across European sovereign debt. When US Treasuries pause a rout like this, you'd normally expect a nice little relief bounce in risk assets. But when European political risk flares up at the exact same time, it throws a massive wrench into normal correlations.

My biggest piece of practical advice for anyone trading FX or index futures right now is to slice your leverage down when fiscal headlines start flying. Stop-loss orders get hunted so easily in this kind of choppy environment, especially during the US/London overlap when liquidity thins out. Personally, I'm not fomo-ing into any big swing positions here. Just sitting on my hands and scalping tight ranges until the bond market gives us a clear signal whether this is a real bottom or just a temporary pit stop before yields rip higher again.

Are you guys adjusting your EUR positions around this French debt noise, or are you strictly playing the US yield bounce right now?
