Looking at USD/IDR bouncing right back toward 17,940 during the European session after that brief dip yesterday. Seems like the macro policy trade-offs out of Jakarta are giving dollar bulls an easy excuse to reload. Ngl, watching the tape today, it feels like every minor pullback on this pair is getting instantly soaked up by buyers.
Technically speaking, we're knocking right on the doorstep of that massive 18,000 psychological barrier. I'm trying to map out the order flow here to see if this is just a classic liquidity run before Bank Indonesia steps in with some aggressive intervention, or if we actually have enough sustained momentum to break out into fresh territory. Spreads on exotics can get brutal when central banks step in, so I'm hesitant to FOMO into longs this high up without seeing a clear retest of previous resistance turned support.
Are you guys looking to scalp the breakout through 18,000, or are you waiting to fade this rally once local intervention hits the tape?
