Hey guys, super new to trading commodities here so please go easy on me. I was just checking the charts and saw that Arabica coffee apparently hit an all-time high after Trump backed off on the tariff and sanction threats against Colombia. I’m ngl, my beginner brain is totally scrambled by this. Wouldn't dropping tariff threats make imports easier and cool prices down, or am I completely looking at this the wrong way?

I’m feeling massive FOMO watching the green candles, but everyone always says buying the absolute top is how noobs get wrecked. Are people just squeezing shorts here, or is the supply situation from Colombia actually that tight regardless of the political drama? I really want to understand how you experienced guys trade these geopolitical headlines because right now it feels like whatever I expect to happen, the market does the exact opposite.

Would you guys even consider going long at these levels, or is it way smarter to just sit on my hands and wait for a pullback?

Man, first rule of commodities: markets don't care what *should* happen logically on paper, they care about positioning and liquidity. You nailed it yourself though, buying an all-time high purely out of FOMO is how you get your face ripped off. If you don't have a clear stop loss mapped out before you even touch the buy button, you're just lighting cash on fire. Sit on your hands, let the shorts get squeezed out, and wait for a proper technical pullback where you can actually define your risk. Otherwise, that account is gonna blow up real quick.
