DXY dropping despite hot PPI? Make it make sense

Ngl, I'm staring at the charts right now and completely scratching my head. Dollar just pulled back hard from those 18-month highs even though the U.S. producer prices came in hotter than expected. Usually, that kind of data has the bulls rushing in and triggers instant FOMO, but price action just shrugged it off and drifted lower. Is smart money quietly distributing here, or are we just seeing some heavy liquidity sweeps before the next leg up? I'm trying to figure out how this is going to mess with key support zones on the major pairs, especially with order flow looking so choppy today. Anyone else scaling into shorts here, or are you holding out to see if those previous resistance levels flip back to support?

Honestly, the DXY drop makes zero sense if you actually look at the macro picture. Everyone is acting like the Fed is just going to pivot because they want to, but inflation is still sticky as hell and these PPI numbers are a wake-up call that nobody wants to answer. It feels like the market is just choosing to ignore reality until something inevitably breaks. I’m staying bearish on risk assets and keeping my cash dry because this rally feels like a total trap.

Spot on. Everyone’s trying to front-run a Fed pivot so bad they're completely blinding themselves to sticky data.

Though honestly, trying to trade macro logic right now with a good R:R is an absolute nightmare. The algos are just hunting liquidity on these PPI prints and leaving retail holding the bag. I'm sitting on my hands until price action actually confirms a break one way or the other, rather than guessing when reality is gonna hit them.
