EUR/USD "rebound" on Le Pen is pure delusion. Change my mind.

Alright guys, I’m seeing everyone in the daily thread getting hyped and aping into EUR/USD longs because of this supposed Le Pen budget breakthrough. Seriously? The media is spinning this as some kind of massive savior moment for the Euro, and sure, the DXY is taking a minor breather, but ngl this feels like the mother of all bull traps. Since when do we trust French political posturing to fix a currency bloc that is fundamentally cracking at the seams?

Let's look at the actual reality here instead of just chasing the green candles. Le Pen’s proposals aren't some magic wand for Eurozone growth; they are tactical moves in a highly unstable political theater. France is still absolutely drowning in debt, Germany's economy is a total mess, and the structural issues aren't going anywhere. Scalpers might be enjoying this quick corrective pump, but holding EUR long-term right now is literally picking up pennies in front of a steamroller.

I get the fomo if you missed the recent EUR lows, but we need to zoom out. This dollar slip is just a healthy pullback and a gift of a dip for anyone looking to load up on more USD before the macro reality hits again. I'm already looking for the perfect spot to fade this EUR rally and open up a fresh short.

Are you guys seriously buying into this European relief rally, or are you prepping to short this bounce with me?

Spot on. Anyone trying to play the news headlines on EUR/USD instead of looking at the charts is just asking to get their stops hunted.

Look at the daily chart—we're still clearly stuck under that horizontal resistance zone from back in May. Until I see a clean breakout and retest of that level, this "rebound" is just noise. People love to invent narratives to justify why the market moved, but the candles tell the real story. Don't marry the news, just trade the levels.
