Yo guys, I was just reading about True Markets launching an on-chain orderbook for tokenized equities, starting with a NVDAc/USDC pair. They are basically trying to solve that massive slippage issue we see on AMMs, which apparently can go over 100 basis points, and stop "unanchored pricing" during weekend and overnight hours. With Kraken and NYSE also heavily pushing into this 24/7 tokenized stock space, it feels like the line between crypto liquidity and tradfi is completely disappearing.
From a technical trading perspective, I am trying to wrap my head around how this is going to impact our daily setups. Usually, we rely on Sunday futures and pre-market price action to scout key support and resistance levels for the cash open, but continuous 24/7 trading on-chain might completely change the game for weekend gaps. If retail and market makers are trading NVDA non-stop over the weekend on these orderbooks, are we going to see Monday morning gap-ups get priced in way earlier, or will it just create massive arbitrage loops?
I am also really curious about how this affects order flow and liquidity when the actual Nasdaq is closed. If a major tech headline drops on a Saturday and a whale dumps NVDAc on-chain, does that create a genuine front-running scalp opportunity, or will the lack of primary market liquidity just lead to phantom breakdowns that get immediately bought back at the Monday bell?
Do you guys think this on-chain volume will actually start leading price discovery for tech stocks, or is it just going to be a playground for arb bots?
