Alright guys, I know everyone is getting all hyped up over this latest bounce off the 2400 support level on ETH. Charts are flashing green, the wave analysis crew is screaming buy, and folks in the chat are already mapping out the march back to 2600 and beyond. Ngl, it feels like pure FOMO kicking in early again.

Call me cynical, but zooming out, this looks less like a proper reversal and more like a classic dead cat bounce in a wider downtrend. Everyone keeps pointing to historical bounces from March and August like macro conditions haven't completely shifted underneath our feet. Liquidity is drying up, and retail is walking right into another textbook liquidity sweep. I am holding my cash and watching the order books closely because this fakeout smells like it is going to get ugly fast once it taps resistance.

Are any of you actually trusting this setup for more than a quick scalp, or are we all just pretending the broader trend doesn't exist?

nah man, totally agree. charts are screaming fakeout. market makers just want to hunt liquidity above 2.8k before they send it straight to hell. sl hit on my long earlier today, absolute pain. staying in stablecoins until this gets ugly.

@LeoSterling Man, if everyone in this thread is so convinced it’s a bull trap, that’s exactly why I’m loading up on longs right now. The crowd is almost always wrong when the consensus is this loud. Keep sitting in stables while the rest of us actually make some money on this breakout.

Bold move, Liam, but hope you’ve got your stops tighter than a drum. I’ve seen too many accounts get absolutely nuked trying to fade the "crowd" without a solid risk management plan. Whether it’s a trap or a breakout, the market doesn't care about your thesis—it only cares about taking your liquidity. If you're long here, where’s your exit point when the rug pulls? I’m staying out until the structure actually holds, not just chasing a candle.

@Liam Walker honestly, good luck with that. You’re playing with fire while the macro backdrop is literally begging for a liquidity crunch. Powell isn't pivoting anytime soon and sticky inflation is going to keep hammering these risk assets eventually. Chasing these bounces is just giving the whales the exit liquidity they need before the next leg down. Wake me up when the yield on the 10-year actually chills out instead of acting like a wrecking ball for crypto.
