Watching USD/CAD tease 1.4195 again, mind your stops here

Seeing the Loonie claw its way back while USD/CAD taps right around that heavy 1.4195 zone brings back some painful memories for me, ngl. A couple of years back, I used to aggressively front-run these range-edge moves the second some dovish Fedspeak crossed the wires, convinced the greenback was completely cooked. Spoiler alert: I got wicked out more times than I care to admit because the dollar just refused to die quietly. Falling US yields definitely give CAD a solid tailwind right now, but entering blindly right into major structure without waiting for confirmation is just asking to get chopped up.

If there is one practical lesson I have beaten into my own skull trading the Loonie, it is that yield spreads can flip on a dime the moment another data print drops. Market makers absolutely love sweeping liquidity around these obvious psychological levels before the real move actually sets in. Personally, I am keeping my position size half of what I usually swing, waiting for clear rejection wicks on the 4-hour chart, and setting hard invalidation levels. FOMO at the edge of a multi-week range will drain your account faster than a bad macro thesis, so let the market show its hand first.

Are you guys looking to fade this move back toward the 1.4200 handle, or are you holding out for a deeper CAD rally?
