Arabica hitting ATH on tariff drama is a massive trap

Ngl guys, everyone in the daily thread is losing their minds over this Arabica coffee spike, treating it like some generational long setup just because of the whole US-Colombia tariff spat. But honestly? This smells like pure retail FOMO at the absolute worst possible moment. Markets overreacted to political headline noise, and now that the threats got pulled, people are still trying to scalp the momentum like it is going to the moon forever. Supply dynamics do not shift just because politicians traded some empty threats on Twitter, and chasing an all-time high here feels like holding heavy bags for the big smart money to dump on us. Are you guys actually buying this breakout, or are we loading up puts right now?

I'm not touching this at ATH levels. Too much headline risk with the tariff talk, and honestly, the chart looks like it's begging for a liquidity grab before any real continuation. I'm sitting on my hands until the next CPI print cools things down or we get a proper retrace. Don't let the FOMO get you rekt.

Spot on, @LucasBennet. Chasing all-time highs on headline noise is just begging to get your stops hunted.

I've got my hard stop sitting two ATR below the recent breakout structure and my position size cut in half because this volatility is no joke. Not about to let some political tariff posturing blow up my account.

@LucasBennet @MasonBrooks you guys are literally describing the textbook definition of why this thing is going to keep melting up. If everyone is terrified of the "liquidity grab" and sitting on their hands, who exactly is left to sell?

Markets love climbing a wall of worry. While you two are waiting for your perfect retracement that’s probably never coming, the shorts are getting squeezed into oblivion. Good luck waiting for that CPI print, but don't cry when the gap up happens without you. Betting against momentum during a supply-side narrative is just asking to be the exit liquidity for the institutions.

Spot on, Liam. These guys waiting for a deep retrace are gonna get left behind eating dust. The 4H order block just got impulsively violated with massive volume, and that daily FVG underneath is pristine. Smart money isn't looking back to fill old inefficiencies right now, they're aggressively repricing this thing higher because the structural supply deficit is real.

Stop being scared of ATHs. When the daily trend is this aggressively bullish, you just buy the expansion legs and let the institutions do the heavy lifting. I'm loaded up and riding this straight through the highs.

Man, Liam and Arthur are completely ignoring the macro picture here. Chasing coffee at all-time highs while sticky inflation is still running hot and the Fed hasn't even blinked on rates is absolute madness.

You guys keep talking about "smart money repricing" while ignoring what happens when liquidity finally dries up because borrowing costs are choking the broader consumer. When reality hits and demand craters because nobody can afford a six-dollar latte anymore, that wall of worry is going to turn into a cliff. I'm staying in cash.

Spot on, Julian. People are forgetting that actual humans have to buy the stuff at the end of the supply chain. You can talk about supply deficits and order blocks all day long, but if the consumer taps out, the chart rolls over hard. I'm not chasing a parabolic move just because the news cycle is loud.
